⛑️The Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) is used to objectively describe the extent of impaired consciousness in all types of acute medical and trauma patients. The scale assesses patients according to three aspects of responsiveness: eye-opening, motor, and verbal responses.

The levels of response in the components of the Glasgow Coma Scale are ‘scored’ from 1, for no response, up to normal values of 4 (Eye-opening response) 5 ( Verbal response) and 6 (Motor response). – Рівні відповіді за компонентами шкали коми Глазго «оцінюються» від 1, якщо немає відповіді, до нормальних значень 4 (реакція відкривання очей), 5 (мовна реакція) і 6 (рухова реакція).

  3. Eye opening to sound – відкривання очей у відповідь на звук
  4. Eyes open spontaneously – довільне відкривання очей

Best verbal response (5)

  1. No verbal response – відсутня мовна реакція
  2. Incomprehensible sounds – нечленороздільні звуки
  3. Inappropriate words – незрозумілі слова
  4. Confused – сплутана мовна реакція
  5. Orientated – орієнтована мовна реакція

Best motor response (6)

  1. No motor response – відсутня рухова реакція
  2. Abnormal extension to pain – ненормальне розгинання у відповідь на біль
  3. Abnormal flexion to pain – ненормальне згинання у відповідь на біль
  4. Withdrawal from pain – нецілеспрямована рухова реакція на больовий подразник
  5. Localizing pain – цілеспрямована рухова реакція на больовий подразник
  6. Obeys commands – виконує команди
